Here below are some pictures from the education, which have been very evolving for me personally as well. I got to overcome things i was more or less scared of before. For instance i think i have been cured of my claustrophobia. I have also fallen even more in love with diving, which i found hard to belive at first was possible, but it is :

Running around, literally, on the sea bed with a helmet working your ass of is just so fantastic a feeling. Must be the closest thing you can come to feel like the astronauts on the moon felt when running around partially weightless!

However, the dsl was with my old company which was TDC, and they apparently still suck big time when it comes to pricing. So, i decided to go with Fullrate, who can offer me 4 times the upload for the same price. And the funny thing about it, is that they use TDCs DSLAMs :)

Monday im starting on my self paid education as a commercial diver. The divers traning is a IDSA standardized course, and when im done with my initial package, i will be certified to work as surface suplied diver to 100 feet with nitrox.

My old @tdc.dk email still worked, so i figured something was wrong, and contacted my old boss a few times, without result, until yesterday. Now they finally quit me, like they should have done 2 months ago.

Off course resulting in them sending me a bill on 19K Danish kroner which was the 2x salaries they payed me too much, minus what extra hours i had saved there as well. It was quite frustrating that nothing happened, and almost scary that they did not let go till i practically yelled at them on the phone =/

I got some new hardware form my stationary PC, and added some more HD space to my server. I still need to get myself a new and insane graphics card for my stationary, but that will have to wait for now.

I finally got around to updating word press, which is the foundation of my homepage/blog here. Its now version 2.3, but it appears to have lots of bugs, so i will update to a 2.3.x something beta shortly i think, because some of the bugs sound a bit serious :)

I started taking my drivers license ( at age 29, i would say its about time :)) however, i will stick with the theory until i can walk again. I’m currently still immobilized because of that damn ankle damage. Perhaps i should check with my doctor, after all, its been 4 weeks since it happened.

I’m still in a learning phase at my new job, but i really like it. I think the job suits me nothing less than perfect, so I’m very glad i took the change :)

On a side note, theres now only 3 months left till our baby is due ;)

Long story short, relaxation vacation in Tunisia with my regnant girlfriend, and me with a sprained ankle. 6 days by the pool just to sum it up :D

So, im full of energy and thrilled actually, to get back to work again, i just wish my ankle was normal :(

We will be staying at Hammamet Regency hotel, which is a family owned hotel, with supposedly great service :) Theres indoor as well as outdoor pools, piano bar, restaurant and off course direct access to the beach in Hammamet :)

Also, this week i started on my new job. I should have taken that step years ago, as I’m very happy with my new employer and all my colleagues are very kind and nice people as well. What more can you ask for? :)

Thats just fine, its a very simple thing, i know i worked with it, to change the billing address. However, nothing much changed in TDC the past 5 years i worked there when talking about efficiency and failure to do the simplest of things. So as the most natural thing in the world, i expected to be disconnected.

And i was right to do so :) I was suppose to take over billing starting 20th September, and 20th September 00:27 local time this appeared in my firewall log:

20Sep2007 00:27:52 Primary Local Area Network (LAN) connection terminated after 7 day(s), 12 hour(s), 50 minute(s), 48 second(s)

I went to bed 19th September around 23.00 so i noticed nothing until 20th September 8:30ish in the morning. I knew exactly what was wrong, i just could not understand why. If I had ordered the speed of the connection changed or made some other changes of some sort to the technical side of it, i would have had a bit of understanding.

Anyways, knowing how long it can take to call the primary help desk function of TDC, i called some of my x-colleagues, who could see they had completely removed me from their management systems, meaning in short; i was non existing DSL user with my ISP!

I asked the guy politely if he could get me back into the management system again, and he then called another department internally in TDC and made them restore me.

Cheers ! Im just gald im not a “regular” customer who would have had to wait for several hours to just know what the hell happend :)

Going by train from Aarhus to Copenhagen today, and tomorrow we fly from Copenhagen Airport to Sham el Sheik in Egypt, to fly further on to Luxor ( also in Egypt ). There we have to spend the night as we miss the last military convoy with 15 minutes :( Then we have a 250 kilometer drive through the desert until we reach Marsa Alam Ecolodges.

One week of diving later, we will head the same way back home to Denmark :)

I wonder if i get to make up some names for my girl ;)

A friend sold me a E6600 processor for a nice price, and after buying a low end ASrock motherboard and a CM Stacker chassis, I’m now building a new server to replace my old web server, my exchange server, and my FTP server. Also, considering the CPU power of the E6600 I’m most likely going to my my TV Tuner card from my main PC to the server as well. Thats in the future though :)

Nothing much happened the past 14 days anyways, so you hardly missed anything. I’m keeping up with the swimming, getting it done a minimum of 3 times pr. week and riding the bike to and from work on those days preferably. Thats apparently a bit more attainable in the long run, as opposed to do it 5 days a week. Perhaps it was a unrealistic goal .. hehe, but i will get in shape, no matter what

Been working overtime as well, for the extra cash. Also, I’m going on yet another diving trip after i come home from Egypt 14th September. around 21st September I’m going with 5 guys to Norway to free dive and hunt underwater with spear guns :D Thats gonna be fun for sure :)

Basically that means i’m accepting all the extra work that i am offered.

Thats good though, it will result in a bigger paycheck in the end, i get more work done, and i get a bit of time at work to work on this blog as well, currently i’m working on adding some nice stats, just becase i think its fun.

Also, just became the happy owner of powergamer.dk domain ( not in use yet though ) dunno what it should be used for yet, perhaps a forum for all the oldschool hardcore gamers i have gotten to know during my “online career” :)
